You can find that press release here: https://development.oregon4biz.com/acton/rif/14786/s-05e3-2209/-/l-0007:488/q-007c/showPreparedMessage?sid=TV2:ex4tuG86W

Here is some additional background about the Pendleton CIE application:

The Pendleton UAS Range (PUR) is applying to become an Oregon Center of Innovation Excellence (CIE) for the UAS industry. This planning grant will support Pendleton in creating a framework for how the CIE would function if PUR is chosen for CIE designation in 2023.  The grant is meant to help cover costs of creating a business plan for the CIE as well as a networking plan that includes partnerships within the UAS industry and training opportunities with state and local schools.

The Pendleton UAS Test Range is an FAA-certified UAS development and flight test center located in Pendleton, Oregon. The mission of the Pendleton UAS Range is to provide customer-focused operating conditions that facilitate successful and safe integration into the national airspace system (NAS). At the Pendleton UAS Range, we ensure all customers receive secure access to our state-of-the-art mission control and innovation hub and dedicated support of all needs beyond the test phase. Our vision is that all customers who test and develop their UAS/UAV at the Pendleton UAS Range achieve certification and successful integration into the national airspace system (NAS) as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
