Fc

Baker County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on June 14.

On June 10, 2022 at approximately 2:18 p.m., Baker County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report of a vehicle rollover on Anthony Lakes Highway near Miller Road.

Deputy Mills and Sheriff Ash responded to the scene. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, identified as Kraig Michael Stevenson of Washington. Stevenson was still in the vehicle and required extrication through the windshield.

During the investigation, it was determined that Stevenson was traveling west on Anthony Lakes Highway, when the 1991 Nissan pickup left the roadway and rolled down the embankment. It ultimately came to rest on the passenger side against a cluster of trees. Alcohol containers were located near the vehicle.

After being medically cleared, Stevenson was charged with DUII, Reckless Driving and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Baker City Fire and Rescue and North Powder Rural Fire Protection District.
