The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a temporary GIS Technician for the Public Works Department. The position is responsible to perform skilled work in the operation, and maintenance of a geographical information system (GIS) for public works assets. The position requires knowledge of the principles and practices of GIS, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and cartography; GPS data collection and associated principles and practices; common standards for geospatial metadata; and knowledge of AutoCAD software and file structures, as it relates to GIS applications. Requires Bachelor’s degree and experience in GIS or a related field. Requires ability to pass a criminal background check. Hours flexible. Pay is $27.35 – 33.85 per hour, DOE.
