Library Welcomes Author Julie Berry

New York Times Bestselling author Julie Berry will visit the Pendleton Public Library on Monday, Oct. 24, for a presentation and book signing. The award-winning author has published children’s, middle grade and young adult books including “Lovely War,” “The Emperor’s Ostrich” and “All the Truth That’s In Me.”

“We’re very excited about this event,” Pendleton Library Director Jennifer Costley said. “This is a great opportunity for Pendleton youth to meet an author in person and to learn a little about what that career path might look like.”

On Oct. 24, Berry will lead a young adult literature presentation “Speak Your Truth,” an engrossing and personal journey through the themes of her internationally acclaimed young adult novels, “All the Truth That’s In Me” and “The Passion of Dolssa.”  Berry will follow the presentation with a book signing. Copies of some of Berry’s works will available for purchase at the event.

The free programs begin at 5 p.m. in the library, and no registration is required. This event was sponsored by Pendleton Friends of the Library, through the generosity of former Sunridge Middle School teacher Gayle Blek.

While Berry is in Pendleton, she will also lead two assemblies at Sunridge Middle School.
