On Monday Deputies and Officers from multiple counties came together for Active Shooter training at North Powder School.
Northeast Oregon Regional Swat Team (NEO Swat) hosted an active shooter response training with live scenario based training to include role players. The training started with classroom then rolled into the fundamentals of building clearing as well as room clearing. Officers and Deputies then took part in live Simunition drills with role players that presented active threats. All who participated in this training received the skills and mindset to respond as individuals or as a team to stop an active shooter event if one should occur.
NEO SWAT would like to thank all those that attended from Baker County Sheriffs Office, La Grande Police Department, La Grande Fire Department, Baker City Police, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
We would also like to especially thank the North Powder School District for the use of their facilities and the hospitality that is always shown to us when we train. Without this type of cooperation we would not be able to make these trainings as successful as they are.
