Harney District Hospital issued the following announcement on Apr. 26.
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) rules requiring masks in indoor public places and schools were lifted after on March 11. However, other state and federal requirements — such as those for healthcare settings — will remain in place.
Hospitals and health systems have a solemn duty to prioritize the health and well-being of their patients, many of whom are immunocompromised and/or severely sick and weakened and are at a high risk of a severe reaction should they get COVID-19.
Please continue to wear a mask when you visit Harney District Hospital and its clinics.
